A Location with Soul
The Doca Atlântica/Comercial is located in the heart of Viana do Castelo's historic center, surrounded by restaurants and right next to the Gil Eanes — the legendary hospital ship that for decades provided assistance to Portuguese cod fishing vessels in the freezing waters of the North Sea and Newfoundland. Today converted into a museum space, the Gil Eanes is an essential visit for anyone wishing to discover one of the toughest and most fascinating chapters in Portuguese maritime history. Doca Jusante
Opened in 1992, the Jusante Basin is Viana do Castelo's flagship marina. Located downstream from the Eiffel Bridge, right on the city's riverfront, it is the natural choice for larger vessels and for those seeking a stopover with full services available.

The oldest of Viana do Castelo's marinas, opened in 1976, the Montante Basin is located upstream from the iconic Eiffel Bridge, right in the heart of the city's riverfront. A quiet and sheltered space, it is ideal for smaller vessels seeking a secure spot in the center of Viana.

Recently Renovated Facilities
The Montante Basin has undergone a complete renovation of its floating pontoons: 15 pontoons and 3 access bridges rebuilt with high-density exotic hardwood, new mooring systems, and around 70 upgraded fingers. A modern infrastructure in a space with decades of history.
Security
Restricted access and permanent video surveillance ensure the peace of mind of all vessels at all times.
